Nowadays, technology develops too fast. People become more creative and they create a lot of new innovations. One of those innovations is gadget. Gadget attracts people with simplicity and modernism; because of that, people want to buy the newest gadget; therefore, the newest gadgets are cheaper. Another reason to buy a new gadget is to follow the trend. People assume that a cool person is the one whom has the latest gadget. Based on my experiences, there are two disadvantages to follow the gadgets’ trend.

Following the gadgets’ trend is not good because it is like a competition between you and your friends. They think whom has the latest gadget is a cool person. That “fake” status will make you over confidence. You cannot doubt that it will change your behavior; you will make a joke about old gadgets and your friend whom has an old gadget will be hurt by that joke, you will spend your entire time to be with your gadget and that will ruin your social life.

Another disadvantage of following the gadgets’ trend is they will turn you into bankruptcy. Because the technology develops too fast, you will feel challenged to follow it. You will spend your money to buy the latest gadget and if there is another gadget come, you will spend your money to buy that. This will happen again and again; it is like the evils’ circle.

            Finally, we can conclude that following the gadgets’ trend is not good. You should use your money to buy what you need, not to buy what you want. Remember, what you want is not what you need, so use your money wisely.
